The objective is to use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reliawiki.org\/index.php\/Life_Data_Classification\">complete and right censored data<\/a> from the test to determine the unreliability for a mission duration of 226 hours, and the warranty time for a reliability of 85%.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0093d5;\">Experiment and Data<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Six of the units fail during the test after operating for the following numbers of hours: 16, 34, 53, 75 and 93. Five other units are still operating (i.e., right censored or suspended) after 120 hours.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"dt_column_23\" class=\"dt_column col-sm-5\"><div id=\"dt_text24177729028455\" class=\"dt_text\">\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0093d5;\">Analysis<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>Step 1:<\/b> Using Weibull++, the first step is to create a standard folio for non-grouped times-to-failure (in hours) with suspensions data, as shown next.<\/p>\n<\/div><div id=\"dt_image25\" class=\"dt_image\"><div class=\"image-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\"  class=\"img-responsive style-default\" src=\"http:\/\/www.safetyangel.com\/recdev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/71.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"dt_column_26\" class=\"dt_column col-sm-1\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"dt_row_27177729028411\" class=\"clearfix dt_row\"><div id=\"dt_column_28\" class=\"dt_column col-sm-12\"><div id=\"dt_row_29177729028414\" class=\"row dt_row\"><div id=\"dt_column_30\" class=\"dt_column col-sm-12\"><div id=\"dt_row_31177729028492\" class=\"row dt_row\"><div id=\"dt_column_32\" class=\"dt_column col-sm-1\"><\/div><div id=\"dt_column_33\" class=\"dt_column col-sm-5\"><div id=\"dt_text34177729028480\" class=\"dt_text\">\n<p><b>Step 2:<\/b> Once the folio is created, the next step is to enter the data in the standard folio. The data sheet contains a &#8220;State F or S&#8221; column to indicate whether each data point represents a failure (F) or suspension (S). (When entering data, the user can type an F or S into this column for each data point or use the following shortcut provided by Weibull++: positive time values entered into this column are automatically marked as failures and negative values are marked as suspensions.)<\/p>\n<p>The data set is then analyzed using the 2-parameter Weibull distribution and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reliawiki.org\/index.php\/Parameter_Estimation\">rank regression on X<\/a>. The first, and more laborious, method is to extract the information directly from a probability plot within Weibull++.<\/p>\n<\/div><div id=\"dt_text39177729028424\" class=\"dt_text\">\n<p class=\"caption\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Click the line on the plot. A crosshair shows the current location on the line. You can move the mouse pointer to track the coordinates from any position on the line. The example below shows that at about 226 hours, the unreliability (probability of failure) is estimated to be roughly 82%.
